Outside of the Bible, my absolute favorite book is “Greater Works: Experiencing God’s Power” by Smith Wigglesworth https://amzn.to/2MpfBXe

It’s over 550 pages of his sermons, updated by Whitaker House publishing. I’ve personally read it at least 60 times – because God’s used it so much in my life!

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, it is important to understand and utilize the gifts of the Spirit. A close look at 1 Corinthians 12 – 14 will bring to light the fact that these are a vital tool to the:
1) health of the individual Christian
2) health of the church (body of Christ)
3) advancement of God’s kingdom here on earth

Evangelist Smith Wigglesworth exhorts us and explains the Spiritual Gifts in this message. Please note that this is not Smith himself talking, but a professional voice actor (Herb Merriweather). Someone wrote Wigglesworth’s messages down by shorthand back at the beginning of the 20th century. They were compiled into a book titled “Ever Increasing Faith,” and this is the 13th chapter.

  1. Amen to this word. Smith Wigglesworth I wish you were still alive. God has given me the power to trust and believe in Him. We also have those that will not believe even those who speak the truth but deny the truth. But the Bible says let every man be a liar but God's Word be true. For some no matter what is said to them, because of all the information over social media they will argue the very truth of God's existence and power. As a matter of fact they believe everything and everyone but The God that created them.

  2. The spirit of the prophets is subject to the prophets. We have to control what happens in the meetings, or they will get out of control and it is not God's will. Seems odd that the Spirit needs us to keep control.
